Frequently asked questions

What open-box means, how grading works, what is covered, how delivery and freight work, and what happens if something is wrong.

Open-box

Condition, grading, and what you are buying

Where does your inventory come from?

Refused deliveries, cancelled remodels, returned online orders, discontinued models, and retail floor displays — bought by the truckload from distributors and national retailers. Once a box is opened the manufacturer cannot sell it as new, which is the entire reason the price drops.

What do the grades mean?

Grade A: no visible damage or a mark you have to look for. Grade B: a visible scuff or dent on a surface that is usually hidden after install. Grade C: obvious cosmetic damage, priced accordingly. Every listing shows the grade and photographs the actual blemish.

Are the appliances tested?

Yes. Every unit is powered on and run before it is listed — refrigeration is temperature-logged over a full cycle, laundry runs a wash and a dry, ranges heat every element and burner.

Are parts and accessories included?

Manuals, shelves, racks, hoses, and hardware are inventoried against the manufacturer packing list, and anything missing is listed on the tag and discounted further. Ask and we will read you the tag over the phone.

Delivery & shipping

Getting it to you

What does local delivery cost?

$79 inside the Sacramento metro, $129 for the wider valley, and free on orders over $1,499. Same-day is available on in-stock units ordered before noon.

Do you install?

We do basic hookup on laundry and refrigeration — water line, drain, vent, leveling, and anti-tip hardware. Gas connections and electrical work are handled by a licensed partner we can schedule for you.

How does nationwide shipping work?

We crate the unit and ship freight to all 48 contiguous states, typically 5–10 business days to a curbside appointment. Inspect the crate with the driver before signing — we cover freight damage when it is noted at delivery.

Will you take my old appliance?

Yes — $45 per unit on local deliveries, taken on the same trip, with proper refrigerant recovery on cold units.

Warranty & returns

If something goes wrong

What warranty comes with it?

Most units carry the balance of the full manufacturer warranty, because they were never installed or registered. Where that does not apply, the listing says so and the unit carries our own 90-day outlet guarantee on parts and labor instead.

Can I extend the coverage?

Yes — 3- and 5-year protection plans covering parts and labor can be added at checkout or within 30 days of delivery. Plans are transferable if you sell the appliance.

What is your return policy?

A unit that does not work can be returned within 48 hours of delivery: we repair it, replace it, or refund it. Cosmetic condition is fully disclosed before purchase and is not a basis for return.

Who do I call for service?

Start with us — (916) 555-0142. If the unit is under manufacturer warranty we open the claim and connect you with the factory-authorized servicer in your area. If it is on our outlet guarantee or a protection plan, we dispatch it ourselves.
